About

Evelyn Hammond is an Evaluation Specialist at the Evaluation Unit. She joined the Unit as a graduate student evaluator in 2017 and moved into her current position in 2019. Her interests include multidisciplinary research in natural resources use and management and applying evaluation to environmental issues and decision-making to achieve environmental sustainability. In her position, Evelyn evaluates projects, programs, conferences, and workshops related to natural resources and agricultural programming and provides recommendations relevant to stakeholders’ evaluation needs. Additionally, Evelyn loves teaching and has over 10 years’ experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes.


EVALUATION EXPERTISE

  • Planning, designing, and conducting an evaluation
  • Developing interview and focus group questions
  • Collecting and analyzing qualitative data (interviews and focus groups) using MAXQDA
  • Designing and implementing mail surveys
  • Designing and administering surveys in Qualtrics (an online survey software)
  • Analyzing evaluation data and making relevant recommendation
  • Writing and presenting evaluation reports
