Bill Klase

Natural Resources Educator

University of Wisconsin-Extension

About

With an office in Rhinelander, Bill is at the heart of many of the great things Wisconsin’s natural resources have to offer. Bill works on a wide array of issues including protecting shoreland habitat, identifying and controlling invasive species, managing forests for long-term sustainability and stormwater management.  The development of new educational materials is a big part of Bill’s job and he works closely with the designers and editors at the ERC to craft and publish things like educational brochures, DVDs, CDs, videos and websites on varying topics.  Prior to joining the Natural Resources Education Program, Bill served as a community forestry volunteer with the Peace Corps in Nepal and as an infantryman with the US Army. Bill holds a BS in Forest Science and an MS Degree in Forestry from UW-Madison.
